Is that all we do? Why no. Thank you for asking. |
Gardens should enhance well-being. They should be: a place to work off stress; a place to relax; a source of food and flavor; and mostly a place of discovery and delight. You too can have a "glorious garden". Come, learn with us! Let Us Entertain You! If you have the burden of planning activities for your group, be it family, friends, protégés or the whole bloom 'n office, we can help. Programs can be held at your site or (in season) ours.
Your Garden event may include complementary refreshments. Stuffed daylily or squash blossoms, sautéed red bud pods, or bloomin' salad with red-leaved amaranthus ... all possibilities. And if you were wondering about the quantity and variety of plants you'll see growing, check out the list at the bottom of this page... WOW lots of stuff!

Scent and Sentiment A virtual garden tour in your seat. We use both visual and aromatic samples along with your imagination. We'll talk about plant growth habits, placement and enjoyment factors with a bit of lore and language thrown as background for a fussy Tussy Mussy you build while we expound. Our site or yours. Or we can unseat you and stroll the gardens, gathering while we chat. Cost - $6.50 per person (take home bouquet)
Gardening 101 1/2 Beginners, fear not -- dig in and give gardening a try. Soil preparation, watering guidelines, feeding with care, weed abatement and plant selection round out this program. We promote least toxic (not quite organic) methods and will show you how, let you participate and send you away with a project for your home garden. Cost - $6.50 per person (plant included).
Culinary Delights Add new dimensions of flavor with an herbal flourish. Grow fresh veggies in confined spaces, as part of the landscape and/or in containers. Grow beneficial berries for both you and the birds. Reduce dietary needs for salt, fats and sugar, without sacrificing flavor. Go herbal. Selection, growing, preparation and, of course sampling, are integral parts of this workshop. Keep it simple or add a chef. Time and money will dictate your expense.
Other Offerings: Walk on the Wild Side (native trees & shrubs); See How They Grow (garden tour); Breathe - a little stretching, simplified Tai Chi, and a garden full of aroma therapy. Mini-Herbal Excursion - enhance your days herbally (growing, cooking, crafting), a scaled down version of almost anything on our event calendar; or, you pick a topic and we'll make something up!
On-site participation fees may be waived with minimum individual purchases.
